Dallas (DVD) Review
Nominated for 18 Emmys and 15 Golden Globes in its thirteen season run, Dallas is the epitome of the prime-time drama / soap opera genre. For the first time in 1978 as a five-part mini-series, the show combines the usual sex and innuendo afternoon soap opera classic adventure with the freedom of Texas Wildcats and filthy rich capitalist oil barons. The combination of trade and business press and men creeping Demographie and test women who are to Dallas from his CBS series in prime time. The result is a TV broadcast of the most successful in history. In fact, the "Who Shot JR?" Dallcome spent most of her life on television Friday evening following the successful CBS-long, the Dukes of Hazzard. Creator David Jacobs originally intended, a series of almost a poor Texas girl, Pam Barnes (Victoria Principal) who marries into a wealthy family (The Ewing), with whom his family were enemies for decades. All five of the majority primerosepisodiosin the middle of the family discord from Pam and her husband Bobby Ewing (PatreDuffy ick) as an attempt at a truce in their famigliesi. But it soon became clear to the producers of the show as Bobby Rogue of a brother, Ewing Oil President JR Ewing (Larry Hagman), would be the real star of the show. Son of Ewing Oil founder Jock Ewing (Jim Davis) and his wife Ellie (Barbara Bel Geddes), JR Ewing sought the May laaceitevon the major independent oil companies in the world, and intends to make every effort to get what they wanted. And as you see, sooner or later, JR is still what you want ... Meanwhile, the buttons are lifelong rivals Chiefs Cliff Barnes (Ken Kercheval), drives his wife Sue Ellen (Linda Gray), alcoholism, and even mortgages the beloved Southfork Ranch (Miss Ellie's house and children are still the majority of the Ewing clan ). Southfork foreman Ray Krebs (Steve kanály) and great son of Lucy Ewing (Charlene Tilton) add flavorful action against a number of often dominated by the notorious regime JR.
