LCD TV - The Good and the Bad
The Good
An LCD TV is very thin and light and so big to save space. Who is to refer an LCD monitor for your desktop computer. Think you to the big bulky, we used to all? That's what a standard television is like now. Together with outstanding picture quality, there is almost no static image burn-in problems, since the fluorescent backlight is filtered by the liquid crystal in solid state.
The TV takes a lifetime oras long as claimed 50,000 to 80,000 hours from the manufacturers. This exceeds the plasma, whose life expectancy is much lower. These TVs will last as long as the backlight can produce white light. The backlight can be changed so that it delivers very good value in this respect. It can be doubled for use with a computer of any sort. Most computer monitors are LCD anyway.
Consume LCD 's are economic impact that they are good for the environment. LCD TV lessElectricity than plasma TV's or CRT TV 's, and in some cases less than half the power!
The bath
You are not currently available in larger sizes greater than 40in. When in larger sizes, they are more expensive than plasmas.
Reduce the use of filters and a white backlight can the quality of a printed real red green and blue. Blacks look more like dark gray, as some of the white light always passes through.
There is the possibility for reduced angles ofVision. As the white light directly on an LCD pixels and the kind of polarizing filters is dropped the viewing angle. You will see loss of quality for blacks and colors at an angle greater than 20 degrees from the axis.
To be fair, I think the good outweighs the bad, and they are extremely good value for money is in comparison to the plasmas, unless you want a really big screen.
