LED TV - Don't Be Fooled, Understand the Technology First

Thinking of buying an LED TV, well .... Stop! Before you spend more than $ 1500, you need to get through the jargon and hype to actually cut the technology that you actually spend your hard-earned money, are understood to be on. TV manufacturers and the media are very good at to convince us that the latest products to incorporate the latest technology and are an absolute must. Lets get real here for the average consumer, most of these jargon is just down right confusing.

A newSeries of LED TVs, the market are concerned with large sums. Samsung have crawled through the back door and have the 7000 series boast the field of LED technology released.

That's great ... but what is the LED technology thats praised?

Current LED TVs - The Truth The term LED stands for Light Emitting Diode and LED's as you probably know, in many of our devices are currently used, but in view of the current line of LED TVs, the actual LEDs used for theBacklight on the TV only and not the TV show itself. If you checked the latest TV technology uses CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorecent lamps), there is no doubt that an LED-backlit display is a more efficient form of backlighting.

But the important point here is that the LED display on the television actually LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), it is the backlight only that of LEDs. So there are two major technologies used here, LC-display forDisplay and LED for the backlight. Essentially an advanced form of LCD TV.

If we compare this technology to a real LED display TV. How OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode), Will Self, the use of an internal thin layer for the LED light only.

The fact that the "LED TV concept was" used to describe a type of LCD-TV, is a clever step on Samsung's part, but the genius in marketing, as it capitalizedof the current buzzword in the TV market of the real LED display TVs to Sony XEL-1 OLED TV.

LCD TV with LED backlight - The improvements now that we have determined that this LCD TV is equipped with an LED-backlit display, makes us, as this new series of television improves on current TV technologies such as plasma and LCD standard in 3 main areas:

1. Very simple image quality, image quality isImprovement over standard LCD and plasma, because of the increased range of colors. The use of LEDs as a light source instead of conventional lamps offers a higher contrast ratio, since the LED's creates blacker blacks and whiter whites, this is the key to a high-quality images on the screen.

2. Environmental LED technology consumes less power than current TV backlight technology, resulting in a saving on your energyBills.

3. Can Leaner models. Since there is no requirement for a conventional light source is required to be made ultra-thin LED TVs, makes this a thin, smooth, attractive model.

Decisions, decisions, if you are in the market for TV and now want a picture quality in advance of the current standard LCD and plasma ranges on the market can, then you do not have much wrong with a LED-screen TV.

However, if you are in no hurray purchase of aTelevision at the present time and require a TV with technology that will keep at the forefront of cutting edge, in terms of LED technology, an OLED TV is the real deal. Laser TV is exploring another option.

Both are new technologies and will require patience as its place in the market with the right size screen for your home. This TV can also require that you dig a little deeper into your account balance.

The moral of the story is to understandthe technology behind the product in great detail before you part with your money, you have the choice.
